The Detectormat
The various modules of the Detectormat when correctly installed will greatly assist control of access aboard any vessel. The system will help make the crew aware of unauthorized entry.

Developed by Yacht Project Associates directly due to their requirement for an economic and easy to install solution to the access control requirement of the ISPS code. Yacht Project Associates has worked for many years in the industry supervising new builds, refits and general management of a number of large yachts. A large part of this work is involved with all the issues of compliance. This put them in the ideal position to develop a reliable access monitoring system suitable for yachts.

Detectormat is a Wire-less tamperproof pressure sensitive access monitoring floor mat for covert warning of unauthorized personnel entry to restricted areas.

A sealed rubber tamper proof access monitoring floor mat which via a low power consumption coded wireless link to a Switch Module receiver unit which may be used to activate alarms, CCTV cameras/ recorders, security lights or any other peripheral equipment. The receiver is equipped with a switch for normally open or normally close activation of this equipment. It has its own internal buzzer which provides a local audible alert.

In addition the receiver is equipped to transmit alert and activation signals to the
Detectormat Repeater System which utilizes the ships electrical ring main to transmit alert warnings to areas where radio transmission cannot penetrate. This also provides extremely easy no wiring installation, in fact just ”plug and play”.

The system can also be activated from a remote call button mounted in a high quality stainless steel enclosure which clamps to the passerelle stanchion at the point of entry. When activated the receiver will emit a short buzz to differentiate between authorized and unauthorized entry.

Due to the programmed coded transmission to the receiver unit, several systems are able to share the same physical area.
